Easy Homemade body Lotion Recipes

All commercial lotions and creams claim to soften and improve the skin, but they are really full of toxic chemicals and synthetic fragrances that can irritate the body. You can make your own natural body lotion.
Here I put a easy homemade body lotion recipe for you. Just follow these steps:

Tools:
  • Glass jar
  • Medium Saucepan
  • Measuring cup
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup almond or olive oil
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup shredded bees wax or emulsifying vegetable wax
  • 1 Teaspoon Vitamin E oil or rosemary extract
  • 2 Tablespoons Shea Butter or Cocoa Butter
  • Aloe Vera gel or juice or distilled water as a base
  • Essential Oils, Vanilla Extract or other natural extracts to suit your preference
Directions:
  • Combine all ingredients excluding essential oil in a medium sized or larger glass jar.
  • Fill a medium saucepan with 2-cup measures with water and heat it in the microwave on high for 2 minutes or until it boils Or boil on the stove.
  • Place the jar into the pan with the warm water.
  • As the water heats, the ingredients in the jar will start to melt.
  • Shake or stir occasionally to incorporate.
  • When all ingredients are completely melted add a few drops of essential oil and mix everything together very well.
  • Let it cool and pour into whatever jar or tin you will use for storage.
The lotion will last up to six months stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Use as you would regular lotion. This has a longer shelf life than some homemade lotion recipes since all ingredients are already shelf stable and not water is added.
