Rwanda is a sovereign state located in central and eastern Africa, south of the equator, bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Rwanda is also located in the plateau of the African Great Lakes region and is not very high, geography dominated by mountains in the west and savannah in the east, with many lakes across the country.
